What Maine referees are achieving

We celebrate milestones because they show developing officials what is possible from right here — not to rank anyone or speak on anyone's behalf. Items marked “date not recorded” are past achievements we have kept on the page; they are not upcoming events.

MRDA members officiate the first Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match in Maine

Maine hosted its first Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match involving Portland's Hearts of Pine, and MRDA members were on the crew. Big matches in our own state create experience that comes straight back to the local referee community.

Maine referees attend the Jefferson Cup Boys Academy

Travelling to a high-level tournament means back-to-back competitive matches, unfamiliar crews, and direct feedback — a concentrated dose of development that is difficult to replicate at home.

Clinics and fitness tests keep the season moving

Clinics and fitness tests continue to run across Maine. MRDA members share dates, carpool to sessions, and help newer referees prepare so the logistics never become the reason someone stops progressing.
