Jefferson Cup Boys Academy
Between March 28-30, three Maine referees attended the Jefferson Cup Boys Academy. Elthon Ayurambi, Jordan Clavette, and Kosta Nedeljkovic (pictured) officiated the U15-U19 Boys College Showcase weekend. While there, these three referees received observation, feedback, and instruction from numerous national referee coaches!
A Night of Firsts:
On Thursday, March 20th, Maine’s USL team, the Hearts of Pine, played their inaugural home match—making history as the first US Lamar Hunt Open Cup game ever held in Maine. Adding to the excitement, two MRDA members, Andrew Porada (Referee) and Addie Hughes (Assistant Referee), had the honor of officiating this historic match. Congratulations to the Hearts of Pine and to our talented members for being part of this milestone!
Maine’s USSF National Referee
This past winter, Andrew Porada earned his USSF National Referee certification, a remarkable achievement after countless hours of dedication. From traveling to tournaments and games across the U.S. to maintaining peak fitness, Andrew’s commitment has truly paid off. We’re all excited to see where this milestone will take him in his officiating career. Congratulations, Andrew!
